Due to the Spring Festival setup, classes on Friday 21 March will end at 1:00 PM. All afternoon activities are cancelled for the day. Students in the event committee are required to report to the main hall by 1:30 PM. Parents have been notified via the school communication portal. Please check the updated timetable on the notice board in your homeroom.

The Advanced Level mock examination timetable for April has been finalised and approved by the Academic Board. Printed copies are available at the Grade 12/13 notice board. Students may also download the full timetable PDF from the school portal under Examinations. All students are expected to confirm receipt of their hall ticket by 28 March. Contact your class teacher if there are any clashes.

Year 10–13 students are now invited to submit nominations for the 2026–27 Student Council. Positions available include President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and House Representatives. Nomination forms are available from the school office. All nominees must obtain a teacher endorsement. Deadline: Friday 28 March at 4:00 PM. Elections will be held on 4 April.

Our Under-16 cricket team has won the Inter-Schools Provincial Championship for the third consecutive year, defeating St. Anthony College in a thrilling final. The team will be formally recognised at a special assembly on Monday 17 March. Players are requested to wear their cricket whites to school that day. A trophy presentation ceremony will follow during the morning break.

Starting Monday 18 March, the school library will remain open until 6:30 PM on weekdays to support students during the upcoming examination season. Students using extended hours must sign the register at the library desk upon entry and exit. The computer lab within the library will also be available until 6:00 PM. Parental consent is required for students in Years 6 to 9.

The Eco Club is seeking 40 student volunteers for Eco Week activities from 24 to 28 March. Activities include a beach cleanup at Mount Lavinia, a tree planting drive in the school grounds, and sustainability awareness stalls during lunch. All volunteers will receive community service hours. Sign up via the student portal by 20 March. T-shirts and refreshments will be provided for all volunteers.

The Annual Student Art Exhibition opens this Monday in the Art Gallery, Block A. This year features over 80 works from 55 students spanning Years 9 to 13, including paintings, sculptures, digital art, and mixed media installations. The exhibition runs from 17 March to 28 March, 10 AM to 5 PM on school days. Staff, students, and parents are welcome. Admission is free.

Registration is now open for Battle of the Bands 2026, taking place Saturday 22 March on the Main Stage. Student bands of 3 to 6 members may register by submitting the form available from the Music Department. Each band will perform a 12-minute set. Judging criteria: musicianship, stagecraft, and crowd engagement. First prize: LKR 25,000 and a recording session at Studio 12. Deadline to register: 18 March.
