Responsible by Design

We believe the finest hotels should also be the most responsible. Our commitment to sustainability is not a programme — it's a principle.

— Our Commitment

The Prestige Promise

Every stay at a Prestige Collection property is a vote for a different kind of hospitality industry — one that gives back more than it takes. We are committed to achieving net-zero operations by 2030, investing in the communities that host us, and protecting the natural and cultural landscapes that make our hotels worth visiting.

Solar panels on hotel roof — renewable energy

Our properties run on renewable energy contracts. Meridian House operates on 100% certified green electricity; Villa Solara supplements grid supply with rooftop solar panels that generate approximately 30% of the resort's daily energy needs.

We eliminated single-use plastics from all rooms, restaurants, and events in 2023 — replacing them with glass, ceramic, and locally-crafted alternatives that enhance rather than diminish the guest experience.

Our water recycling systems, installed at Villa Solara in 2024, have reduced freshwater consumption by 40%. All pool water is treated using UV purification, eliminating chlorine chemicals entirely.

Local Sourcing

Our chefs are mandated to source at least 85% of ingredients from within 50 miles. We work with over 40 local farms, fisheries, and producers — and feature their stories on our menus.

Employment

Over 90% of our team members are recruited locally. We partner with hospitality colleges in each city to provide apprenticeships and scholarships for young people entering the industry.

Conservation Fund

One percent of every booking contributes to our local conservation fund. In 2025, this funded habitat restoration in the Amalfi Coast and urban greening projects in London's East End.

Responsible Sourcing

Fresh local produce — sustainably sourced ingredients for our restaurants

Every product and service we procure is evaluated against our Responsible Sourcing Standard — a framework covering environmental impact, labour practices, carbon footprint, and community benefit.

Our bedroom amenities are produced by B-Corp certified partners. Our linens use GOTS-certified organic cotton from small-scale Portuguese mills. Our cleaning products are entirely plant-based and certified biodegradable.

We publish our full supplier list annually and invite scrutiny. Transparency is not a policy — it's a practice.
