Marc Delacroix
Co-Founder & Head of Wines
Former head sommelier at Restaurant Comme Chez Soi, Brussels. Certified Master Sommelier. Responsible for wine and spirits sourcing across France, Italy, Spain, and Portugal.
A decade of travelling, tasting, and championing the world's finest small-batch producers.
Cellar & Grove was founded in 2014 by Marc Delacroix and Isabel Montoya — two professionals who had spent years working at the highest levels of fine dining and food journalism, but who were increasingly frustrated by a single, persistent problem.
The world's most extraordinary small-batch producers — the family domaines in Burgundy, the ancient olive estates in Andalusia, the truffle farmers in the Périgord — had no reliable pathway to the premium import markets that would appreciate them most.
Large commodity exporters weren't interested in minimum orders of 200 cases. Brokers lacked the knowledge to tell the story. And importers in the Gulf, Asia, and North America were left with second-rate options despite paying first-rate prices.
Cellar & Grove was built to close that gap: a curated export house that understood the products as deeply as a sommelier, operated with the rigour of an international trade house, and championed producers the way a great journalist champions a story.
We source only from producers whose methods, terroir, and commitment to quality are verifiable. We visit every farm, grove, and cellar before any product joins the portfolio.
We maintain full certification across every required standard for every market we serve. If a certification lapses, the product is withdrawn from sale — no exceptions.
Our import partners rely on us for accuracy — accurate descriptions, accurate documentation, accurate timelines. We have never mis-declared a product in ten years of exporting.
We pay fair prices. We commit to volumes. We promote our producers by name and tell their stories to the world. We believe that the best trade relationships are long-term ones.
Former sommeliers Marc Delacroix and Isabel Montoya establish Cellar & Grove with a single portfolio of twenty estate wines from Portugal's Douro Valley.
A sourcing trip to Andalusia opens the doors to Spain's most celebrated single-estate oil producers. The Oils & Vinegars category launches with five founding estates.
The Artisan Foods category launches with Ibérico ham, French truffle, and Spanish saffron. Halal certification obtained across 40% of the portfolio to serve the Gulf market.
Full ISO 22000 food safety management accreditation achieved — enabling entry into regulated markets in Singapore, Japan, and Australia.
Cellar & Grove surpasses 100 active import partners across 24 countries. East Asian expansion begins with partnerships in Japan, South Korea, and Hong Kong.
The portfolio reaches 300+ curated products from twelve countries of origin. A new traceability platform allows importers to verify batch provenance in real time.
